Big trees, tight spots
Not every tree comes down the same way. One in the open field can be felled whole. One growing between your garage and the neighbor’s fence has to come apart piece by piece, roped and lowered, with somebody watching every limb before it moves.
That’s where the fleet earns its keep. Our knuckleboom grapple cranes can reach over the house and pick sections straight out of the canopy, so pieces don’t swing toward your siding. Bucket trucks put us right up in the work. Chippers and dump trucks take the debris with us when we go.

What to Expect
Free estimate
We come out, walk the tree, and look at what’s underneath it — septic lids, sprinkler heads, the deck. Then you get a price with no obligation.
Set the drop zone
Before a saw runs, we rope off the landing area, plan where the crane and trucks will sit, and move anything that could get hit.
Take it down
Whole tree if there’s room to drop it. Otherwise the crane or bucket takes it in sections, top down, each piece lowered instead of falling. It’s slower, and it’s the safe way.
Clean up
Logs go on the trucks, brush goes through the chipper, and we rake the yard before we pull out. If you want the stump gone too, we grind it below grade.
Signs a tree needs to come down
A tree rarely fails all at once. More often it’s been showing signs for a season or two — a dead top, a limb that came down in a light wind, mushrooms at the base. The signs are usually there before the failure is.
Not every one of these means the tree has to go. Some of it can be handled with pruning. But a few of them — a lean that’s new, a crack in the trunk, roots lifting out of the ground — mean don’t park under it, and don’t wait to have somebody look at it.
- Dead limbs in the crown, or a dead top
- A new lean, especially after a storm
- Cracks or splits in the trunk or a main fork
- Mushrooms or soft, punky wood at the base
- Soil heaving on one side, or big limbs dropping on calm days

Common Questions
Not always. A knuckleboom crane parked on the street or driveway can often reach over the house and lift sections out of a backyard without driving across the grass. When we do need to bring equipment in, we pick the route with you first.
Normally it goes with us. Brush runs through the chipper, logs get loaded on the dump trucks, and the yard gets raked before we pull out. If you’d rather keep the trunk for firewood, tell us at the estimate and we’ll leave it cut to length.

We’re fully insured. Past that, the whole point of the crane and the rigging is that pieces get lowered under control instead of dropped, so there’s less chance of anything getting hit. If something does get damaged, tell us on the spot rather than after we’ve left.
