Real Work, Real Equipment, Real Neighbors
Tree work isn’t for everybody. You’re outside in the heat and the cold, you’re on your feet all day, and you’re around equipment that demands your full attention. But when you drive off a job you can point at that yard and say what you did there — the dead maple leaning over the swing set is gone, and the grass underneath it is still in one piece.
We’re family owned, and we work in Jasper and the towns around it. The people whose trees we take down are people you’ll run into at the gas station. That keeps us honest about how we do the job, and it’s a big part of why we’re careful about who we put on a crew.

Real equipment
Grapple cranes, boom and bucket trucks, an excavator, skid steers, a forestry mulcher, chippers, dump trucks. There's real iron on these jobs, and you'll be working around it.
A skilled trade
Rigging, cutting, running a crane — this is a trade you learn by doing it, and what you pick up stays with you.

Roles on the Crew
These are the roles a tree crew is built from. Tell us which one fits you — or ask, if you’re not sure where you’d start.
Ground Crew
The backbone of every job. You keep the site safe and moving — dragging brush, feeding the chipper, handling ropes, and learning the trade from the ground up.
- Drag brush and feed limbs into the chipper
- Handle ropes and rigging for the climber or bucket operator
- Keep the drop zone clear and the site safe for the homeowner
- Clean up the yard so it looks better than we found it
Climber / Bucket Operator
You're the one up in the tree. Setting rigging, making the cuts, and bringing big wood down in controlled pieces — over houses, fences, and whatever else is in the way.
- Climb or run the bucket to set rigging and make cuts
- Take down trees in tight spots without tearing up the yard
- Trim and prune for health, clearance, and storm damage
- Talk clearly with the ground crew — every cut is a team call
CDL Driver / Equipment Operator
Getting the iron to the job and running it once it's there. Boom trucks, dump trucks, skid steers, the excavator, the mulcher, and the lowboy for big moves.
- Haul trucks, chippers, and equipment to and from job sites
- Run skid steers, the excavator, and the forestry mulcher on clearing work
- Load and secure equipment on the lowboy trailer
- Keep your truck and machine clean, greased, and ready for the next call
Crane Operator
Running the knuckleboom grapple crane on removals that can't be climbed or reached. Precision work — you're picking heavy wood over roofs and setting it down gently.

- Read the pick, the load, and the ground before every lift
- Work in sync with the climber and ground crew on every piece
- Run your daily checks and keep the machine in shape
What we look for
Who Does Well Here
- You show up. On time, ready to work, every day the crew is rolling.
- You take safety seriously — for yourself, for the person next to you, and for the homeowner watching from the porch.
- You're willing to learn. Experience helps, but we'd rather have somebody green who listens than somebody who already knows it all.
- You're alright working outside in whatever the weather is doing, and you can handle the physical side of it.
- A valid driver's license. A CDL is preferred for the driving and equipment roles — tell us if you've got one or you're working toward it.
- You're open to storm work. When the weather hits, people call us — ask us how that side of things works before you decide it's for you.

Questions
Before You Apply
No. Most people in this trade start on the ground, dragging brush and learning how a job comes apart. What matters more is that you show up, pay attention, and take the safety side seriously. If you do have experience — climbing, running equipment, a CDL — tell us about it on the form.
It’s outdoors and it’s physical. Removals, trimming, stump grinding, and land clearing make up most of it, plus storm work when the weather turns. Some days you’re in a tight backyard threading limbs between a garage and a fence. Other days you’re clearing a lot with the mulcher. It’s rarely the same twice.
You don’t need to bring your own saws or rigging — we run our own equipment. If there’s gear you’d be expected to bring yourself, ask and we’ll tell you straight. A valid driver’s license matters. A CDL is preferred for the driving and equipment roles, but it isn’t required for ground crew. If you’re working toward one, say so.
